  1. How is everyone doing this week? Is everyone healthy? Still motivated? Weather got ya down?

  2. After finally getting started, I am motivated to put in a full week's worth. I have a new Aqua class I am trying tonight so we'll see how that goes. Luckily, weather isn't really an issue for me. The only snow I see is on the Sierras, about 50 miles and 4000 feet in elevation away.

    Hope Brian is feeling better!!

  3. Yay Rory!! Brian is on his feet, but I caught the same bug yesterday morning with a 100.2 fever. Thanks to my mother's "strong constitution," I think I'm kicking it outta my system more quickly than BWats, but neither of us is 100% yet. Boo. I think I'm going to need one more evening of rest, but then hopefully I'll be back at it.

  4. Rory- how was your class? Supposedly we have another snow system headed our way :(
Colleen- how are you feeling? Tell Brian he doesn't need to share everything with you!

I didn't feel like working out tonight, but fortunately Ryan offered to watch the kids so I didn't have to wait until they went to bed. Too bad Ryan doesn't get bonus mileage for being a nice guy :).

  5. Oh thanks for asking, Jeanette. I know! Brian's just so generous--he couldn't help but to share. Brian and I both went to work today, but we're both feeling pretty wiped out tonight. I had a gnarly headache all day long, and Brian's cough still sounds pretty bad. After a good night's sleep, though, I think we'll be able to log some miles tomorrow, for sure! It helps to be able to check on here and stay accountable, though, for sure, as opposed to me and Brian getting off the wagon after a little bout of sickness, so I'm so glad everyone's doing this!

  6. Aqua Intervals went pretty well last night...a little more hardcore than Zumba, but the music wasn't working so it was very quiet. Just a bunch of fat women breathing heavily :)

Get well soon, BTW & WV!

  7. @Rory - Awesome! What's that like?
Hope the Watson are getting better....
What's the updates with Melissa, Jonathan, and Emily? They've been pretty quiet!
We are getting snow and more snow here :(. Wish I lived near Rory where I could just see it in a distance... Doubt I'll make it to the gym so we'll see if some workout videos gets me motivated.....

  8. Well with the change of the semester my life this week has been CHAOS!!! When I get home I want to drop, but I got in time Monday and Wednesday so far and hopefully Brad will be home soon so I can go run on the horrible treadmill while he watches Bella. They are calling for 1 - 3" of snow tonight. UGH I will be so ready for Florida in February and the wedding in April.

  9. Yikes, so Brian and I are still sick with the flu or whatever this was, but I'm confident that tomorrow and Saturday we'll be able to make some miles up. I must admit that we have ridden this wave of sickness a little too long--we certainly could have done some miles before now. Yesterday would have been our first legit opportunity, but it was a coworker's 30th birthday, so we were in Broad Ripple until after midnight at a new brewpub (on a school night, no less). Not a good idea, we know, but it WAS his 30th b-day. No more excuses, though. We'll tackle tomorrow and Saturday with a vengeance...and THEN we'll have a beer or two. I hope we don't let you down too much. 2 hours of workout each day should be do-able for us kid-less folks, right??

  10. @Melissa - FL in FEB? Nice! What's AbRipperX? School? So are you skipping classes in Feb and April?
@Colleen - 2 hours should be doable, but you don't realize how much time you had pre-kids(at least I didn't) until we had them.... I take it you didn't count your 16oz curls thing? HA.HA.

  11. I have a CONFERENCE in February in Orlando at Disney. My babysitter is keeping Bella for 3 days overnight so it will just be Brad and I. My meetings are over at like 2:30 everyday so we will get to do lots of stuff at Universal Studios. AbRipperX is part of the p90x program. It's 16 minutes of 11 different kinds of Ab workouts. It is HARD. I would say the 2nd hardest part of p90x.
We have Spring Break the week before Easter, then I took 5 Personal Leave days for the week of the wedding! I will not want to go back to work after being gone for 2 weeks, especially going somewhere tropical for a week!

  12. I found an app on Facebook that can also be put on your iphone. It is called Lose It! You can also access it from www.loseit.com. You can input the food you eat, kind of like Weight Watchers, and also your exercise. You start by putting your weight, your goal weight and how many pounds you want to lose. It will ask what your goal per week is and then determine what date you should reach your goal. It will then tell you how many calories you can eat in a day to reach your goal. You can also have your exercise posted on your facebook page, so that will help keep you accountable! Check it out!

  13. Oh my stars! This is going to be soooooooo hard! I am only allowed to eat 926 calories a day to meet my weight loss goal by the wedding. I LOVE the crispy chicken club sandwich (with fries, of course) from McDs, so I put it in just to see (I still haven't eaten there) and it is 1,061 calories and that doesn't include the TEA!!!! Blah I will never make this

  14. iphone?? I thought I did pretty good just getting a txt plan last year - so behind the times....ha.ha.

Only 926 calories??? That is hardly anything to eat. Does it take in account your workouts??

  15. Well Brolleen's back on the board! Yay! I like your idea, Melissa, with www.loseit.com, but 926 calories is crazy low! Thanks for the tip--I'm gonna check it out tomorrow.

  16. I saw where you joined! Yay! I know 926 is low and I am about to die and it is just 1 day in. But, that is to lose 20 pounds by April 20, so if I go over a little, I think I will still be okay. But, I will try to keep that as a target. And, I think when you log exercise, it tracks calories burned. So, I guess if you are just dieting an no exercise that should be your goal.

Today Bella and I are off for a girl's day with Heather and Cambree. Playing and shopping. woohoo.

  17. Well well...look who caught up with even a little more than the minimum, even though we were sick this week! Honestly guys--thanks so much for participating! Something like a few days with a fever would typically be something that would keep me and Brian off the wagon for at least a month. It's only because we didn't want to let the team down that we got right back into it! Thanks a lot for the motivation, and Jeanette, thanks for posting when it seemed like no one else was!

  18. Wow! I've still got a weird cough but otherwise I'm feeling pretty good. The week off really helped out from a recovery perspective, but now it's time to refocus.

Colleen was saying something about stating a personal goal for this week. Mine will be to log more miles than anybody else... With at least 6 of those miles being a solid run.

  19. This is the first day I checked the blog. I was traveling for business everyday this week.

    Next week will be better.

  20. As of this morning's aqua class, I had only been to the gym 3 times this week. I figured that I would get my 4th time in on Sunday. Then I left the gym and went shopping. In the middle of Target I realized that today was the last day of our exercise week and going tomorrow won't work. So as soon as I left Target, I went back to the gym and rode 5 miles on the bike. Whew! That was close!
