  2. Jeanette, I just accidentally posted my exercise for today twice. I'd like to think that I would do that much in one day, on a Monday, no less, but that's just not the case! If you could delete it or not count it for our tally, that would be great!

  3. Colleen- I got ya covered :)

We are doing awesome this week so far. Everyone has gotten in some workouts that post daily.

I barely survived not drowning in my sweat tonight during my first attempt at intervals on the dreadmill.

  4. @Jeanette. WTF? 19 miles already. I know that's great, but you're killing me. If I'm going to accomplish my goal then I better rethink my plan for the week.

  5. @Rory: 10 miles already... that's awesome! I guess the same comment I made to Jeanette counts for you too.

  6. Brian - You got 35miles the first week. My best is 25miles in a week! Last week you got 21miles in 2 days!
The weekend is about the only time I have to get in some longer cardio workouts.... I had to get a jumpstart in challenging you this week if I was going to do it....
I have one more bike workout this week I'm hoping - the interval workout. And another weight and run workout if that helps you plan your workouts for the week....
Although Rory is putting up a pretty good challenge too.

@Brian - I think Jeanette saw your goal and responded http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/challenge-accepted

  8. I got my bike interval workout completed tonight. Yeah! So now I can focus on my 2nd goal. Ha.ha.

Nice job on the 16m bike, Brian. An hour is a pretty good pace. It's going to be close.

  9. Way to go Jeanette! That is crazy.

  10. Okay, when I go to Florida in a few weeks and spend 3 afternoons walking around Universal and Disney, how do you want me to log that?

I am definitely the Biggest Slacker this week. Wowza Brian and Jeanette you two are AWESOME!!! :>

  11. @Melissa- do you have a pedometer or can borrow one? I'd be curious just to know how many miles someone can walk at those places.

@Brian - I really didn't plan on biking that much tonight, but a friend met me at the gym that needed to talk for about an hour.... Great job on your bike yesterday. I'm just hoping to run and lift tomorrow..... It's down to the wire....

  12. I am going to look for an app to put on Brad's phone. I just didn't think those things were very accurate

  13. @Melissa - I've seen a few free apps that are basically categorized as virtual trainers... they can typically use the phone's GPS capabilities. I've only tried one and it didn't work that well because I was running in a 1/8 mile circle inside of a building. I think they would be more accurate considering you're potentially walking all around a theme park.

@Jeanette - Sheeesh!!! Well... I still have my 6 miler today... but I think I'm going to have to tack something else on to that in order to squeak by. Nice work!

  14. Can I just say how proud I am of us as a group that we've kept at this for a whole month!! 3 months to go to the D.R. as of this very day!! Thanks so much again to all of you for participating and encouraging each other so much! I just barely squeaked out my goal for the week, but I did hit it! Whoop!

  15. P.S. A quick personal digression: Brian is now lower than the weight he was before Thanksgiving (thanks in a large part to Jeanette's solid push against his goal this week :)). And also, I have a confession: I gained 14 pounds over Thanksgiving and Christmas this year. Not 4. 14. Yikes! We were totally off the diet and exercise wagon, but now that we're back on it, I'm down 8.5 pounds since January 1. I'm not yet back to my pre-Thanksgiving weight, but I'm almost there. SO, the other part of that story is that my wedding dress came in yesterday, and it fit! Hooray! I know it wouldn't have fit if we would have kept going the rate we were going over the holidays! :) So a sincere thanks again to everybody!

  16. I've just returned from the gym where I had "I Stand Alone" by Jackyl blaring in my headphones when I crossed the finish line for my 6 mile run. The only thing missing was the confetti. Knowing that Jeanette still has a workout planned for today I couldn't stop there so I hopped on the bike and went for some more.

@Jeanette - I hope you don't have anything up your sleeve, because I freaking tired and I have no interest in doing another workout today. I would like to nominate you for W.O.W. for this week. I would say you have accomplished your goal by making me earn mine (my finger's are crossed hoping no one edges me out this afternoon).

Also, on a side note, I think this is the first time in 9 years that I've done a true non-stop 6-miler and it felt great.

  17. AWESOME Brian! That's impressive both the run and the bike following! I wish I could have seen you cross the finish line for your run with your arms up, right? Thanks for the nomination for the WOW. So Brian are you going to do that challenge again? heehee.
Colleen - that's exciting your dress fits! I can't wait to see you in it. And good job on getting your goal this week!
I was just going to see if anyone has lost weight. That's awsome guys! I'm so proud of you guys. Just imagine what's going to happen in the upcoming months! I can definitely tell I'm slowly getting my endurance back and some definition in my arms and legs - slowly but surely....
So it looks like I was successful with my goals this week too :)
It's so nice to have you guys as motivation when I don't feel like working out at night after putting Nate to bed, but I didn't want Brian to have it easy this week....

  18. I am pretty sure I have lost some weight, because I have some pants that were a bit tight and are more comfy now, but I am waiting to weigh myself. The first week, when I was sick, I went to the doctor so I got weighed then (and was astonished to learn that I had gained about 12 pounds since September.) I have a physical scheduled in about 3 weeks, so I will be weighed again on the doctor's scale, which will make it feel more official. I'll let you know then.

    Way to go, everybody!
